Verve Restaurant Café & Bar is an intimate restaurant serving excellent food.Our Head Chef is Philip Edward – his style of cuisine combines classic French, European and Asian techniques with unique Australian ingredients.Philip started his apprenticeship with Two Faces and completed his training with renowned Chef Jacques Raymond, then onto the iconic Est Est Est and Luxe – three of Melbourne’s finest establishments.
Philip then joined Melbourne’s Restaurant Ondine. Restaurant Ondine was the talk of the town and it won Victoria’s best new restaurant award in the first year of opening.
Philip was lured away from Ondine by an offer by the newly opened six star Palazzo Versace. He then went on to head up the kitchen at Songbirds and whilst there Songbrids won Queensland Restaurant of the Year and Phil won Chef of the Year to name but a few. He has been leading a large team at Moo Moo for the last couple of years to much accolade and many awards so we are very excited to have Philip head the kitchen at Verve where he can tap into his fine dining back background and with his trusted sous chef from Versace beside him we are going to see some great food at Verve.The wine list at Verve has been given careful thought and research and reflects some of the best examples of each varietal from each region at various price points including some fabulous back vintages.
A unique addition at Verve is the blackboard Cheese Menu which lists around 8 to10 cheeses from around the world – you choose the cheese you want on your platter to suit your taste.
